The Weighted Truth Day 9 Part 2

A blog journey following me as I go through Pre, Sleeve Surgery, post surgery and beyond.

I dealt with the nightmare.  I confess, it wasn’t pretty.  Soul searching right now for me look like kindergarten art.  I had to phone in a friend and a brother and two sisters.  Power team.  I moved forward and went to work and had myself a decent day filled with a lot of, “Court get over yourself” ‘s.  But I did it.

It’s one thing for me to just not eat, smoke, or drink.  Until I figure out the “why” I won’t ever really be truly free.  A few days ago I wrote about belonging.  I have to tell you …. read Brene’ Brown’s book “Braving the Wilderness” if you too struggle with a sense of belonging.  I got this book from a friend and it’s amaze balls.  She writes, “Our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance.”  AMEN SISTA

I feel alive for the first time in years.  I know I haven’t lost a lot of weight yet but just the movement, the shift in perspective, the outlook, the determination … the BREATHING is so life altering.  Hard to do, but worth it.

If you’re in it to win it with me, let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
